I thought that he had seen every feature story that there was, but on a mid day walk, he found that he was wrong. Coming the other way was a man with a dog and a cat on the dog’s back. On top of the cat was a moose. Jack kept walking until he realized what he had seen. He turned around and ran after the trio, caught them and persuaded them to come back to the WASHINGTONIAN magazine office. I wasn’t far away, rushed to the office, and made pictures. While I was making pictures, I asked the owner about how he created his trio. He said basically, being calm, patience and treats. He did have one problem—the high turn over in mice.
